Design & LEADERSHIP

I’ve spent 25 years solving problems most designers never see: designing infrastructure that millions of engineers rely on daily, aligning dozens of teams across competing organizations, and creating frameworks that scale far beyond a single product.

The answer is rarely a clever interface. It starts with curiosity, earns trust across disciplines, and creates structure where ambiguity would otherwise slow everything down.

I’m currently at AWS leading Gen AI transformation and database infrastructure design. My work sits at the intersection of cloud platforms, AI-assisted systems, and trust-critical experiences. Before AWS, I worked across Fortune 500 companies, led emerging technologies before they were established categories, and spent two decades in startups learning how to do more with less.

What I care most about is impact at scale. Designing systems that help people understand complexity. Creating frameworks that teams adopt without my involvement. Making high-stakes decisions where the cost of getting it wrong is real. Mentoring designers so the work continues long after I move on.

I’m exploring Principal/Staff IC roles focused on cloud infrastructure, AI products, and safety-critical systems where thoughtful design, human judgment, and cross-organizational influence matter.

When I’m not looking at pixels on a screen, you’ll find me with my dog Naila, cheering on the soccer field or bopping to band tunes.
